about 15 hours, starting with a pencil sketch. Photoshop+wacom, and then a scanned grunge-y paper texture to give it that old used pulp book look. A3 final size.

Each symbol corresponds to a chapter of the book "Ten Questions Science Can't Answer (Yet!)" by Michael Hanlon.
